The 4-piston Audi R8 calipers are connected to the hydraulics of the vehicle and can thus develop an enormous braking force. However, these do not have handbrake functions. The rear axle of Audi R8 is additionally used for a handbrake caliper adapter. The hydraulic connection is thereby closed with a blind plug / closure cap, thus this serves only as a hand brake caliper.
