We finally designed a brake caliper adapter that be installed on the T3 2WD bus (not Syncro) under the 15-inch rims.
The adapters are mounted with 288×25 mm internally vented brake discs and with the Audi A6 calipers.
Advantages:
- top deceleration
- system no longer warms up and no more fading
- very cheap components. you can find second-hand caliper from 49.- € / new from 70.-€
- thanks to the material certificate supplied with the order, it is possible to register your purchase
- possible quick and easy assembly with the supplied mounting screws
Required components:
- brake discs 288×25 mm Audi A4 Quattro, Audi A6 z.B. OE-number:
4A0 615 301 C (VAG), 4A0 615 301 D (VAG), 4A0 615 301 E (VAG), 8E0 615 301 Q (VAG)Â other comparaison number:
V10-80049 (VAICO), 100.1216.20 (ZIMMERMANN), 100.1216.70 (ZIMMERMANN) - bracke calipers Audi 100/A6 C4 Girling/ ATE 57 Â reference : 4A0615123A/4A0615124A (left, right)
- brake caliper brackets required for mounting the 288th brake system. Part No.:4A0615125A(required because of the shorter shape of these brackets)
- Brake Pads Original Parts NR VW 4A0698151A (We also have matching ones from EBC in our assortment (see accessories on this page below)
Only suitable with the 14 inch axle of T3 (you can see it with the screws fixing the calipers. The thread should be 16 mm)
Because of the thickness of the brake discs, the track is widened by 7mm for each side.
Important!!!
So that you can bleed the brake system cleanly, we recommend to mount the brake calipers reversed, i.e. to mount the left brake caliper on the right vehicle side and the right brake caliper on the left vehicle side.
Delivery:
- adapter system for brake caliper
- complete set of high-strength screws for both sides
- hub centric rings for the discs
- matching wheel hubs
- material certificate
- stress analysis
Tips, information and advice:
- To improve ventilation of the brake system, we recommend removing the anchor plates/brake dust plates.
- For easy mounting of the rim, we recommend purchasing two of our wheel mounting aids at the same time >>go directly to the article here<<
- We cannot give you a generalised answer as to which rim size you can ride after your brake conversion. There are simply too many different wheel rims. For this reason, we have developed a template with which you can easily check whether the brake system kit fits under your rim. We have included a link to the template in the description. If your rim does not fit, you can simply use wheel spacers. >> Go directly to customised wheel spacers <<
- Install the adapter with the required components and then check whether new brake lines are required, as the old ones may not be long enough or the connection may not fit, depending on the model. Due to the significantly better efficiency, we recommend switching to steel braided lines. We have developed a steel braided line configurator especially for this function, which you can use to assemble and then install them according to your requirements. Click here for the steel flex configurator >> Configure steel flex brake line <<
- The handbrake cable must always be used from the installed calliper, which means that the new handbrake cable may have to be adjusted slightly. For conversions in which the original calliper is still used and the original handbrake cable can be used, you may have to route it more directly to compensate for the larger disc diameter and longer travel
