Disc brake adapter to convert the T3 BUS (for all T 3 Bus models) to brake discs on the rear axle on Porsche. In addition, a handbrake caliper and handbrake cable from the Golf 4 R32 must be installed.
The brackets are made of high-strength steel and completely galvanized.

The Porsche calipers are connected to the vehicle’s hydraulics and can therefore develop enormous braking power. However, since these do not have a handbrake function, the rear Audi S3 or Golf 4 R32 is also used as a handbrake caliper adapter. The hydraulic connection is closed with a blind plug. This means that it only serves as a handbrake caliper.

For the T3 BUS with ABS, the brackets must be adjusted a little. The fact that the wheel bearing housing has 2 small bulges on the right and left prevents the adapter from resting completely. To do this, simply grind 2 small bevels. Then the adapter sits perfectly and the distances between the brake caliper and disc are correct. The adapter

is mounted so that  the Porsche brake caliper sits towards the front axle and the handbrake caliper towards the rear axle.

The wheel hubs have to be turned down for the rear disc. (The ones we have in our range also have to be turned down a bit)

  • Brake discs from A4 S4 rear axle in 300x22mm Original part no: 8E0 615 601 R
  • Brake calipers from Porsche 996 (rear axle) Part number: 996.352.422 + 996.352.421 (Only 100% compatible with the specified Porsche calipers)
  • Brake caliper VW Golf 4 R32 for the handbrake function left VW part number: 8N0615423C, brake caliper right VW part number: 8N0615424C,
  • Matching brake pads handbrake caliper part number: JZW698451
  • Brake caliper holder VW part number 8N0 615 425 B.
  • Longer studs for the rear axle.
  • Handbrake cable from Golf 4 R32 Part number:  124C0160

Tips, information and hints:

  • For better ventilation of the brake system, we recommend removing the anchor plates/brake dust plates.

  • We cannot give a general answer as to which rim size you can use after your brake conversion. There are simply too many different rims. In rare cases, it can happen that the rims are only slightly in contact with the brake calliper, in which case wheel spacers can simply be used.>> Now directly to wheel spacers as desired <<
  • Install the adapter with the required components and then check whether new brake lines are required, as depending on the model, the old ones may not be long enough or the connection may not fit. We recommend switching to steel braided lines because they are much more efficient.   • The handbrake cable must always be used from the installed caliper, which means that the new handbrake cable may need to be adjusted slightly. For conversions in which the original caliper is still used and the original handbrake cable can be used, you may have to route it in a more direct way to compensate for the larger disc diameter and the longer path
