Brake caliper adapter with special wheel hubs to use the rear brake calipers of the Golf 4 V6 R32 Audi S3 8L in conjunction with the front 280mm brake discs of the VW Golf 4 on the rear axle.

Technology:

The 280 mm brake discs are centered and screwed on using the original Polo 9N wheel hubs. The original wheel bearings from the Polo 9N can continue to be used.

Required components:

  • Brake caliper left VW part number 8N0615423C, brake caliper right VW part number 8N0615424C, brake caliper bracket VW part number 8N0 615 425 B or painted blue from the R32: 1J0 615 425 F.
  • Axle pin from Polo 6N GTI (also available in our shop, article number APA213  )
  • Wheel hub from Polo 9N Part number: 6Q0598611
  • Front brake disc from Golf 4 280×22 mm Part number: 1J0 615 301 E

Tips, information and hints:

  • For better ventilation of the brake system, we recommend removing the anchor plates/brake dust plates.

  • We cannot give a general answer as to which rim size you can use after your brake conversion. There are simply too many different rims. In rare cases, it can happen that the rims are only slightly in contact with the brake calliper, in which case wheel spacers can simply be used.>> Now directly to wheel spacers as desired <<
  • Install the adapter with the required components and then check whether new brake lines are required, as depending on the model, the old ones may not be long enough or the connection may not fit. We recommend switching to steel braided lines because they are much more efficient.   • The handbrake cable must always be used from the installed caliper, which means that the new handbrake cable may need to be adjusted slightly. For conversions in which the original caliper is still used and the original handbrake cable can be used, you may have to route it in a more direct way to compensate for the larger disc diameter and the longer path
