Brake caliper adapter, rear axle, on various VW and Seat models, for conversion to rear brake caliper from Porsche 996, combined with the front brake discs VR6Â 280mm .

Technics:
The brake caliper adapter are mounted between the axle beam and the axle stub. The necessary screws are supplied. Â With our hub spacers ( not supplied in this kit , and available with 4 or 5 holes according to the model) , the 280 mm brake discs are centered and screwed (in our shop you will find the complete kit). The track is wider by about 16 mm per side. The inside of the hub spacer is manufactured like the originals and therefore the wheel bearing remains the same.
Not permitted under the STVO (German Road Licensing Law). However, thanks to the material certificate supplied with the order, it is possible to register your purchase even for series vehicles
For the rear axle, we propose brake adapters for conversion to the Porsche brake system, combined with the R32 brake discs. Visit our shop.
For vehicles equipped with ABS, the ABS disc of all Golf MK3 models can be kept and adjusted exactly on our hub spacers.

- brake caliper: Porsche , reference: 996.352.421 + 996.352.422
- 2x special wheel hubs with which the VR6 disk can be exactly mounted
- depending on the model, the 4 or 5 hole wheel hubs are available. With 4 holes, the brake discs have to be modified.

This kit is only for the circuit since there is no cable handbrake.We have the same kit also with handbrake function under the item No 678 in the shop.
Tips, information and advice:
- To improve ventilation of the brake system, we recommend removing the anchor plates/brake dust plates.
- For easy mounting of the rim, we recommend purchasing two of our wheel mounting aids at the same time >>go directly to the article here<<
- We cannot give you a generalised answer as to which rim size you can ride after your brake conversion. There are simply too many different wheel rims. For this reason, we have developed a template with which you can easily check whether the brake system kit fits under your rim. We have included a link to the template in the description. - Install the adapter with the required components and then check whether new brake lines are required, asIbiza the old ones may not be long enough or the connection may not fit, depending on the model. Due to the significantly better efficiency, we recommend switching to steel braided lines. - The handbrake cable must always be used from the installed calliper, which means that the new handbrake cable may have to be adjusted slightly. For conversions in which the original calliper is still used and the original handbrake cable can be used, you may have to route it more directly to compensate for the larger disc diameter and longer travel
