Brake caliper adapter, rear axle, on all models front-wheel drive Golf MK4,  Bora, Vento, Audi A3, etc, for conversion to Porsche brake caliper, combined with Golf MK4 brake disc, front, 280×22.

The Porsche calipers are connected to the hydraulics of the vehicle and can thus develop an enormous braking force. Since these have no handbrake functions, the rear Audi S3 or Golf MK4 R32 is also used as a hand brake caliper adapter. The hydraulic connection is thereby closed with a blind plug / closure cap, thus this serves only as a hand brake caliper.

The track is widened by 16mm for each side.

Tips, information and advice:

  • To improve ventilation of the brake system, we recommend removing the anchor plates/brake dust plates.

  • We cannot give you a generalised answer as to which rim size you can ride after your brake conversion. There are simply too many different wheel rims. For this reason, we have developed a template with which you can easily check whether the brake system kit fits under your rim. We have included a link to the template in the description.   • Install the adapter with the required components and then check whether new brake lines are required, as the old ones may not be long enough or the connection may not fit, depending on the model. Due to the significantly better efficiency, we recommend switching to steel braided lines.   • The handbrake cable must always be used from the installed calliper, which means that the new handbrake cable may have to be adjusted slightly. For conversions in which the original calliper is still used and the original handbrake cable can be used, you may have to route it more directly to compensate for the larger disc diameter and longer travel
