Opel Manta A Ascona Kadett C Adapter Disc Brake Conversion Brake Rear Axle Caliper Tuning Adapter

Adapter for Conversion to Disc Brakes, Rear Axle, for Models Kadett C, Manta, and Ascona B with the Small Brake Drum.

Required Components:

• Brake Caliper: VW or Audi Girling 38, installed in the Golf, Vento, Passat, Scirocco, and Corrado on the rear axle.
• Brake Caliper Mounting Bracket: Rear from Golf Mk2/Mk3, reference numbers: 6N0615425 / 6N0615426.
• Handbrake Cable: VW / Audi compatible with the calipers used.
• Brake Disc: Audi 80, size 245 x 10 mm, Year of Construction 1986-1996, rear axle (used with a bolt circle of 4 x 108). Note: The bolt circle must be rebored to 4×100.

Adapter Features:

• Galvanized for optimal corrosion protection according to DIN ISO 9227.
• Suitable for 13-inch rims and larger.

Tips, Information, and Advice:

• To improve ventilation of the brake system, we recommend removing the anchor plates / brake dust shields.

• Wheel Size: We cannot provide a general answer regarding which wheel size you can use after your brake conversion due to the vast variety of wheel types. In rare cases, the wheels may slightly touch the brake caliper; in this case, wheel spacers can be used >> Go directly to customized wheel spacers <<.
• Install the adapter with the required components and then check whether new brake lines are needed, as the old ones may not be long enough or may not fit depending on the model. We recommend switching to steel braided lines due to significantly better efficiency. • The handbrake cable must always be used from the installed caliper, which means the new handbrake cable may need slight adjustments. If the original caliper is still used and the original handbrake cable can be retained, you may need to route it more directly to compensate for the larger disc diameter and longer travel.
