Brake caliper adapter for the front axle of the Mercedes Benz CLS W218 / X218 from the 250 to the 500 in order to use the Mercedes Benz ceramic brake disc 402×39 in conjunction with the Mercedes Benz 6-piston W205, W213, C190 brake calipers.
Since the original Mercedes brake caliper carriers cannot be purchased individually, but only in conjunction with the 6 piston calipers, we have developed this adapter.
Advantages of this braking system:
- Top deceleration values, no comparison to conventional brake discs
easy installation
a must for performance improvement
material certificate is included
easily reverted to original condition
Required components:
- Mercedes W197 SLS W205 C63 AMG 6-piston brake calipers part no. A204 421 99 98 and A204 421 97 98
- Ceramic brake disc from the Mercedes CLS 63 from the front axle in 402x39mm Part number: 231 421 15 12 / 231 421 16 12
Tips, information and hints:
- For better ventilation of the brake system, we recommend removing the anchor plates/brake dust plates.
For easy installation of the rim, we recommend buying two of our wheel assembly aids at the same time >>click here to go directly to the article<< We cannot give a general answer as to which rim size you can drive after your brake conversion . There are simply too many different rims. In rare cases, it can happen that the rims are only slightly in contact with the brake calliper, in which case wheel spacers can simply be used. >>Go directly to wheel spacers as desired<< Install the adapter with the required components and then check whether new brake lines are required, as depending on the model, the old ones may not be long enough or the connection may not fit. We recommend switching to steel braided lines due to their significantly better efficiency. We have developed a steel braided configurator specifically for this function, where you can put them together according to your wishes and then lay them. Click here for the steel braided configurator >> Configure steel braided brake line <<
