Brake caliper adapter for the rear axle of the Mercedes W639 Viano to the Mercedes E55 AMG W211 4-piston Brembo brake calipers in conjunction with the 360×26 brake discs from the Mercedes SLS C197 AMG.
To convert the braking system, the handbrake must be converted to the handbrake shoes from the Mercedes Benz E-Class (W211).
This is not a big effort, since the expansion plates can be taken from the W639 and only the brake shoes have to be replaced so that the 360×26 brake disc from the Mercedes SLS C197 AMG can be mounted.
The adapters fit the following vehicles:
- Mercedes W639 Viano / Vito
Advantages of this braking system:
- extreme deceleration values also in conjunction with our front axle braking system
- Top deceleration values, no comparison to conventional rear brake discs
- The material certificate included in the delivery allows registration by individual acceptance even for series vehicles
- Directly fits the above-mentioned models and can therefore be easily restored to the original condition at any time
- Our EPYTEC brake calliper adapters do not require you to send in your standard parts, nor do they require re-welding, milling or drilling.

Tips, information and hints:
- For better ventilation of the brake system, we recommend removing the anchor plates/brake dust plates.
- For easy mounting of the rim, we recommend purchasing two of our wheel mounting aids at the same time >>click here to go directly to the article<<
- We cannot give a general answer as to which rim size you can use after your brake conversion. There are simply too many different rims. In rare cases, the rim may only be slightly in contact with the brake calliper, in which case wheel spacers can simply be used. >> Now go directly to wheel spacers as required <<
- Install the adapter with the required components and then check whether new brake lines are required, as depending on the model, the old ones may not be long enough or the connection may not fit. We recommend switching to steel braided lines because they are much more efficient. We have developed a steel braided configurator specifically for this purpose, which you can use to put these together as you wish and then lay them. Click here for the steel braided configurator >> Configure steel braided brake lines <<
- The handbrake cable must always be used from the installed caliper, which means that the new handbrake cable may need to be adjusted slightly. For conversions in which the original caliper is still used and the original handbrake cable can be used, you may have to route it in a more direct way to compensate for the larger disc diameter and the longer path
