Brake caliper adapter for the rear axle of the Mercedes W447 Viano on the Mercedes E55 AMG W211 4-piston Brembo brake calipers in conjunction with the 360×26 brake discs from the Mercedes SLS C197 AMG.
To convert the braking system, the handbrake must be converted to the handbrake shoes from the Mercedes Benz E-Class (W211).
This is not a great effort, as the spreading plates can be taken from the W447 and the brake shoes simply need to be swapped so that the 360×26 brake disc from the Mercedes SLS C197 AMG can be mounted.

Tips, information and hints:

  • For better ventilation of the brake system, we recommend removing the anchor plates/brake dust plates.

    We cannot give a general answer as to which rim size you can drive after your brake conversion. There are simply too many different rims. In rare cases, it can happen that the rims are only slightly in contact with the brake calliper, in which case wheel spacers can simply be used. >>Go directly to wheel spacers as desired<<
  • Install the adapter with the required components and then check whether new brake lines are required, as depending on the model, the old ones may not be long enough or the connection may not fit. We recommend switching to steel braided lines due to their significantly better efficiency.   • The handbrake cable must always be used from the installed caliper, which means that the new handbrake cable may need to be adjusted slightly. For conversions in which the original caliper is still used and the original handbrake cable can be used, you may need to route it in a more direct way to compensate for the larger disc diameter and the longer path
