Brake caliper adapter for the Golf 2, 3 series (narrow axle) to be able to drive the Golf 4 R32 brake disc 334x32mm in connection with the Brembo/Porsche Cayenne ZR 17 brake calipers.

Suitable for the following vehicles:

  • Golf MK1 (only with G60 wheel bearing housing)
  • VW Golf MK2 and MK3
  • VW Passat
  • VW Corrado
  • VW Jetta
  • VW Polo
  • Seat Toledo

Required components:

  • brake calipers: Porsche Cayenne  or Tuareg, reference  7L6 615 123 T + 7L6 615 124 T
  • brake discs: Golf MK4 R32 334x32mm , reference 1J0 615 301AA + 1J0 615 302 A
  • brake pads: from 18 inch calipers reference 7L0 698 151 J
  • Brake disc must be redrill to 4×100 (can also be done in our house)

The “nose” on the axle pin / stub must be adapted by cutting / grinding it.

Tips, information and advice:

  • To improve ventilation of the brake system, we recommend removing the anchor plates/brake dust plates.

  • We cannot give you a generalised answer as to which rim size you can ride after your brake conversion. There are simply too many different wheel rims. For this reason, we have developed a template with which you can easily check whether the brake system kit fits under your rim. We have included a link to the template in the description.   • Install the adapter with the required components and then check whether new brake lines are required, as the old ones may not be long enough or the connection may not fit, depending on the model. Due to the significantly better efficiency, we recommend switching to steel braided lines.   • The handbrake cable must always be used from the installed calliper, which means that the new handbrake cable may have to be adjusted slightly. For conversions in which the original calliper is still used and the original handbrake cable can be used, you may have to route it more directly to compensate for the larger disc diameter and longer travel
