BMW E30 E32 740i Rear Brake Caliper Adapter with 294 x19 Disc Brake System

Brake caliper adapter for BMW E30 rear axle to install the large E32 rear brake caliper, combined with the BMW E46 328i brake disc, 294×19 mm. Includes corresponding O-rings.

Rims: at least 16 inches.

Required components:

• Rear brake discs BMW E46 328i with 294×19 mm, part no: 34 21 1 165 563
• Rear brake calipers BMW E32 740i 40/20, part no: 34 21 1 160 399, part no: 34 21 1 160 400
• The following modification is necessary for the conversion: PCD modification from 5×120 to 4×100

Tips, information, and hints:

• For better ventilation of the brake system, we recommend removing the dust cover plates and brake anchor plates.
• We cannot generally answer which rim size you can mount after your brake conversion as there are too many different rim types.
• In rare cases, it is possible that the rims may minimally touch the brake caliper. In this case, simply use spacers.
• Install the adapter with the necessary components and check if new brake lines are required. Depending on the vehicle, the lines may be too short or their tips may not be suitable. We advise changing to steel braided brake lines for their quality and technical advantage. We have developed an online brake line configurator specifically for this purpose, where you can assemble your desired type of steel braided brake lines.
• Always use the handbrake cable of the installed brake caliper. Sometimes you may need to modify or adapt the new handbrake cable. For conversions where the original caliper and handbrake cable can be used, you may need to pull the cable without additional fittings (directly) to compensate for the long distance caused by the larger brake discs.
• Please note that our products are designed for racing and motorsport use. Usage in public road traffic generally requires individual approval according to § 21 StVZO by an officially recognized expert. Further information can be found through TÜV Süd. For individual approval, we will provide an expert opinion or material certificate, if available.
