Brake caliper adapter to mount brake discs 335x22mm on the rear axle Audi A8 in connection with the original brake calipers.

Adapter is suitable for the following vehicles:

Required components:

  • Original Audi VW brake calipers Girling 41 or 43, Ideal A8, A8Q installed with original 280×22 brake discs
  • Brake carrier with part number: 4D0 615 425 C, this is the carrier that is originally installed with the 280×22 brake disc
  • A8 brake discs 335x22mm OE NR.3D0615601,3D0615601C,4E0615601L

Tips, information and advice:

  • To improve ventilation of the brake system, we recommend removing the anchor plates/brake dust plates.
  • For easy mounting of the rim, we recommend purchasing two of our wheel mounting aids at the same time >>go directly to the article here<<
  • We cannot give you a generalised answer as to which rim size you can ride after your brake conversion. There are simply too many different wheel rims. For this reason, we have developed a template with which you can easily check whether the brake system kit fits under your rim. We have included a link to the template in the description.   • Install the adapter with the required components and then check whether new brake lines are required, as the old ones may not be long enough or the connection may not fit, depending on the model. Due to the significantly better efficiency, we recommend switching to steel braided lines.   • The handbrake cable must always be used from the installed calliper, which means that the new handbrake cable may have to be adjusted slightly. For conversions in which the original calliper is still used and the original handbrake cable can be used, you may have to route it more directly to compensate for the larger disc diameter and longer travel
